On Friday, February 17, 2012, ACER attended the 6th annual Toronto District School Board “Eureka” conference held at Marc Garneau Collegiate Institute. The aim of the conference is to improve student achievement in science and to motivate students to continue studying science.
At the conference, ACER had exhibitions showcasing the programs it offers. Through these programs, students will be involved in participating in outdoor activities using scientific methods and tools. Teachers who attended the conference signed up to have their students be a part of these programs.
ACER’s president, Alice Casselman, Program Coordinator, Ana Maria Martinez and Project Lead, Sophie Lu all offered further specific details about ACER’s programs to the science teachers from Toronto District School Board.
