2015 marks the 400th anniversary of Étienne Brûlé’s expedition with the Wendat-Huron from Orillia to Lake Ontario along the Toronto Carrying Place Trail. ACER is delighted to be collaborating with a variety of organizations to bring the history of Brûlé’s expedition to life during the second week in September. A number of events are planned for you to get outside and enjoy the trail while learning about an important part of Canada’s history. At some of the events, you may get a chance to discover some interesting trees in your neighbourhood too!
