On Sunday, September 30, 2012, ACER participated in the “40 million trees – TD Tree Days” program organized by TD Bank at the Lowville Park in Burlington Ontario. The project was run by TD Bank (Burloak Branch) and Trout Unlimited. Volunteers planted 250 trees along the Bronte Creek on a reforestation and creek stabilization initiative.

ACER tagged 30 trees and trained volunteers to measure and monitor these trees. These benchmark measurements are year zero of a cumulative data set to track the success of the planted trees.
