OUR VISION: Healthy and climate-resilient communities who work together to enhance, restore and protect biodiversity and build a better, greener world.

St. Ignatius Jesuit Centre in Guelph

On December 12th, 2014, the students at St. Ignatius Jesuit Centre in Guelph measured trees planted this past spring to collect the first growth measurements for their long-term tree monitoring data. The trees will become a part of an old growth forest, monitored by students annually.

Students learnt to measure root collar, height/diameter, crown width and health status. Trees were also mapped using GPS and a sketch map.

Thanks to the students for their enthusiasm and help with this program.

This program was funded by TD Friends of the Environment Foundation.
