OFA Annual Conference

On Friday, February 10, 2012, ACER attended the 63rd annual Ontario Forestry Association Conference held at the Nottawasaga Inn located in Alliston, Ontario. The theme of the 2012 Conference was “Prescription for Nature: Healthy Forests for Healthy People” . Over 250 landowners, students, educators, and resource professionals from across Ontario attended the conference.

ACER had a display booth at the conference showcasing the different programs it offers. Through its programs, ACER aims to plant trees and monitor forests with students and educators across Ontario to mitigate climate change and protect species. Some of the attendees signed up to become a part of ACER programs.

ACER’s president, Alice Casselman and Project Lead, Sophie Lu attended the workshops and offered further specific details about ACER’s programs at the display booth.
