Measuring Our Resources at Norman Bethune C.I.

On Nov. 13th, 2012, the grade 9 classes and members of the eco-club at Norman Bethune Collegiate Institute in Scarborough, ON measured a sample of mature trees at the side of their school. About 30 trees were flagged and measured and students learnt about climate change, tree anatomy, how to measure the different parts of a tree, and how to draw a sketch map of their plot.
