Community Mapping Event in Fonthill, ON

On Friday October 18th, 2013, ACER and Climate Action Niagara (CAN) hosted a Community Mapping workshop at St. John’s Nature Centre in Fonthill, ON. The associate partners were Land Care Niagara, Niagara Restoration Council, Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority, and the District School Board of Niagara. Participants were given maps of Niagara and noted areas and issues of concern with respect to climate change. A discussion on next steps on mitigating climate change for Niagara region also took place.  We also took a short hike in Short Hills Provincial Park behind the nature centre – a beautiful place.
