On Thursday, Oct 27, 2011, students from Mary Ward Catholic Secondary School started collecting data on the trees just planted on Oct 25 at Humber Arboretum. They also put on t-bars, burlaps, mulch, and tree guards to further protect the little trees. A day well spent! ACER helped the students during their data collection and final tree planting procedures. The students can now continue to monitor the health and yearly growth of their trees as they explore issues surrounding climate change locally and globally!
ACER’s president, Alice Casselman, Program Coordinator, Ana Maria Martinez, Project Lead Sophie Lu, all helped coordinate the event.
