On July 27, 2011 ACER facilitated the training of teachers from across Ontario at Bark Lake. The Ontario Teachers Federation within its Professional Learning Program offered a workshop called “Going Green – Learning Goes Outdoors,” which allows the teachers to learn about different ways to incorporate the environmental education within their curriculum.
ACER’s president, Alice Casselman, P4C Coordinator, Sophie Lu, and ACER Program Coordinator, Ana Maria Martinez, offered a training session to ACER’s programs and activities for schools. 20 teachers from across Ontario participated in the training session which included outdoor activities and use of equipment to measure and monitor their schoolyards.
