On Friday, September 9th, 2011, ACER facilitated a training session at the Paradise Grove Park, Niagara-on-the-Lake, where one of ACER’s one-hectare biodiversity observation plots is located. Staffs and volunteers from Niagara Parks Commission participated in the training, which included how to monitor tree species diversity and health on standard one-hectare forest plots using Smithsonian protocol.
ACER’s president, Alice Casselman, Program Coordinator, Ana Maria Martinez and Project Lead Sophie Lu offered this training.
