Humber Youth Stewardship – Summer Project Started

On June 22, 2010 Humber Youth began the Summer segment of the Humber Youth Stewardship Program. This program focuses on training students to remove invasive species in a selected  area, to carry out a base line inventory of remaining native trees and to lead a community restoration planting. The area chosen has native trees that could thrive with reduced competition. Starting off the program ACER hopes to develop the skills youth need when participating in data collection and analysis as well as the associated field skills. Our thanks to those that helped start off the program this summer and we hope to see you throughout the restoration process.
