Training Day at Humber Arboretum

On Tuesday, April 10, 2012, ACER held a training event for interns and other interested people at Humber Arboretum. The goal of the training was to instruct people to use international protocol carrying out forest inventory. During the training, participants split up into two teams and measured trees from two quadrats of the experimental plot at Humber Arboretum. They were taught the tree anatomy and how to use ACER’s equipment to measure young and mature trees.

ACER’s president, Alice Casselman, Program Coordinator, Ana Maria Martinez and Project Lead, Sophie Lu all attended the training day and offered their experience and expertise of tree planting and measuring to help train the participants.
